Tejas Art Club MeetingMarch 20071. Introduction of members and guests was the first order of business. It was a very large group for our anniversary meeting. Approximately 18 people were in attendance. 2. Linda Howard gave a brief overview of the prior meeting. She asked the newly formed committee heads if they had anything to report. Olga and Tony had nothing to report. 3. Stacy Kamas gave the treasurers report. Currently we have $540.00 in the bank. She also proposed to increase the annual dues for the club to fifteen dollars per year. Discussion was held and the increase was adopted. Starting as of March 22, 2007, Dues are now $15.00. 4. Introduction of Joe Walsh ,our speaker. Joe gave a beautiful presentation of the wonderful world of photographic art. Joe showed numerous black and white photographs and gave explanation of how his art progressed. 5. Jesse Reyna’s speaker on Native American Art was unable to attend but Jesse being a real trooper talked about how Native American’s Spirituality place a large part in their art. 6. A lively discussion of the club sponsoring a Youth Art Contest was held with the conclusion of forming a committee to define the details. Linda will chair this committee. 7. Bev Tomek , who spoke at our last meeting , showed her finished gourd. She will be showing this gourd in a future show. Great work and so beautiful. 8. Olga and Joyce let the prayer be said by a guest. Then we all were invited to see his silver jewelry. 9. Meeting closed.
