About Marcia

Marcia Cash, Traveler in Thyme, has been gardening in the Texas Hill Country since 1974, when she lived on the first (and maybe the only?) hippie commune in Williamson County.

Her mother always kept the prettiest yard on the block, and her grandmothers both raised plenty of homegrown vegetables, so everywhere she's lived, Marcia has planted a garden.

Severe chemical allergies made her a believer in the organic lifestyle, and all her children have grown up amazingly healthy.

Sharing her experience is a joyful way to pay back Mother Nature for all this bounty, for which we are all thankful.

All photos on this blog are by Marcia, unless otherwise noted.

The one at the top left of the page is called ""Mourning Cloak Butterfly on Ruta Graveolens."
