Keep Blanco Beautiful was an award winner for completing the wrap up report on time. We won a Troy-Bilt Yard Vac.
One event a year helps to Make Blanco Beautiful but will not Keep Blanco Beautiful. It will take the voluntary compliance of the existing laws for illegal dumping by the citizens of Blanco. Where there is not voluntary compliance the city government is responsible for making sure that the existing laws are enforced.
There are both civil and criminal statutes and fines that range up to $25,000 per day and prison terms of over one year for major violations. The Texas laws are available online at www.state.tx.us in the "Laws, Codes, and
Statutes" section.
