The KBB beautification committee, led by Judy Dorsett, is celebrating all of the rain that we've had in the last few months, and the beautiful plants and flowers in the Bindseil Park, City Hall yard, and all along the east side of the square. Judy's years of planning and all of the weekly work by so many volunteers has really paid off. Beverley Burris at City Hall says they get so many comments on how pretty the yard looks.
The beautification volunteers have now taken on another city project.
The Roy Byars property is being purchased by the city of Blanco for a museum. Roy had landscaping done around the building a few years ago and KBB has helped with the front flower bed. We will now add this property to our weekly efforts to Keep Blanco Beautiful.
It is only 18 days to the Lavender Festival and we expect more than 5,000 visitors for the two day event. KBB would like to encourage all property owners to pick up trash out of the city easements around their property and ciagrette butts from the historic square area. We want to be proud of Blanco.
Our second order of the Trash Off T-shirts has arrived. If you did not get one on April 14th at the trash and river clean up, please call Retta Martin at 833-4720.
