Good Samaritan
On the way to Austin one Sunday afternoon, my truck was handling funny, and I realized one of my tires was low.Dripping Springs was coming up in a few miles, so I thought I'd be fine. Do you know how many gas stations no longer have air for your tires? When I finally located one, their system wasn't working right, and I lost 5 valuable pounds of pressure (with miles left til I got to Austin!). I told the clerk about their air pump, and amazingly, the guy behind me in line volunteered his portable air compressor. He plugged it in (with permission, of course; thanks, Mobil station) and was able to get my tire "back on track."
"Wow, convenient that you have a compressor with you in the truck," I say."I put bicycles together for a living; comes in handy," David replies. Well, it turns out, he can assemble practically anything: furniture, swingsets, fitness equipment, even sheds... not just bicycles.
