Jayne and Waymond Lightfoot retired to Blanco and the Texas Hill Country after careers in the insurance industry and as a classroom teacher/speech therapist.
They loved the beauty our area offers, and wanted to be able to enjoy their horses, as well (Waymond did cutting competition for several years).
They are both active in the Blanco community: Jayne is a Sunday School teacher at their church, and Waymond is involved with the Rodeo Association.
Jayne loves spending time with family, and especially with her grandchildren.
She enjoys driving the back roads of Blanco County, taking in the scenery; seems like a good hobby for a Realtor.
She also likes painting with watercolor, and even won an award at the Blanco County Fair (I've seen her work... she's good!)
Besides working with and promoting the Blanco Rodeo Association, Waymond is an avid football fan. He played for Texas A&M... need I say more?
He is a regular patron of the Blanco Library and reads several books each week, mostly mysteries, I'm told.
Waymond really enjoys putting his business experience and skills to work by helping investors and land owners make good real estate decisions.
Jayne and Waymond first got interested in real estate through their daughter, Shalyn McCumber.
Realizing that Blanco's central location combined with the world-wide recognition of the RE/MAX name would be a winning combination, they both became Real Estate Brokers, along with earning the Senior Real Estate Specialist designation, as well.
Another of their daughters, Rebecca Lightfoot, recently became an agent, too, and with the opening of a second office in New Braunfels, RE/MAX Genesis provides excellent services to buyers and sellers alike across a 100 mile area of the Hill Country.
The Blanco community has been supportive, and even with an economic downturn, the the Lightfoots' business has become a dynamic player in the property sales of Blanco and surrounding counties. They work with seven real estate agents who know and love the area.
The RE/MAX Genesis office is located one block north of the Blanco Square on Main Street (US Hwy 281), in Blanco's Historical District. The renovated two-story former home retains its old-time country charm (please park and enter on 5th St).
